Follow Me Back Tuesday and a Sigh of Relief!

Happy Tuesday :)

Thanks for hopping over to my Blog today! I'm so glad that you did, feel free to stay a bit.

Last week was such a scary week for us. Our Now 4 year old sprayed some air freshener into her her little sisters face. I immediately gave her a bath and washed her face and she seemed fine. Long story short we called poison control (they we're awesome) and they said I needed to flush her eyes for 10 min. With all of the water and rubbing of her eyes that she did she irritated them. We went to the eye Dr. and THANKFULLY we use Green products in our home, so there was not a chemical reaction and the clarity of her eyes is fine. This is a picture of her after we saw the eye Dr. He had us put some eye gel on her eyes (it's the same stuff that new born babies get when born). She did amazingly well and is back to her happy, healthy self again! It reminded me how precious my little girls are and so blessed that there healthy.

Spring is in the air!!

I must say I have a bit of spring fever! Spring will officially be here in 7 days. I've noticed that Spring IS in the air though, My Lilac bush (above) has buds on it.
My Iris' are starting to come out of the ground.

Trees are starting to bud as well

Even our Dog Lucy is ready for spring. Lucy spends a lot of time inside, more by my choice rather than anyone else. I do think she enjoys being out though!

A few other keys to me that Spring is in the air would the chirps of the birds in the morning and just today I saw a flock of Geese flying North.

These photos are a few weeks old but I thought they we're fitting considered the snow is falling today. The snow is beautiful but I would much rather it be 70* out ;) This was the first real time our youngest had been out in a sled with all of the snow. She was so excited!
And Lilian! Here's the little stinker who will go outside on those freezing days with a princess dress or ballerina costume.

Mandy has figured out that it's really fun to throw snowballs. It makes me laugh!

There I am! It's so much fun to let go and run around like a kid. I'm thankful my girls have taught me that. Stay warm today!!

12 Days of handmade Christmas gifts: DAY 5

Wow Christmas is just 47 days away! AHHH so close :) If you've stopped by from the Follow Me Back Tuesday hosted by http://www.littleyayas.com , WELCOME! I'm so glad you stopped by! Today's project was very easy to do. It would make a great Teachers gift. It's a mug holder. So I started with some fabric and sewed some padding in the inside.

I sewed the padding to the inside of the back piece of fabric.
I did a bit of needle point to create the word "Faith". But wouldn't this be cute with the word "Teacher" as a teachers gift?! I then sewed the Faith piece onto
the front of my front piece of fabric.

I sewed my pieces of fabric together front side to font side and then turned right side out to hide the seams. Then I attached a bit of Velcro.

And here you have it! Cute as can be. I'm thinking for one of our families gift exchanges I might include this along with at $5.00 gift certificate to Starbucks.
