Re-Purposed Valentine's Decor

Valentine's Day is a little over 15 day's away!
I decided to do a little re-purposing today... I had this cute heart that I bought at a craft fair several years ago. It's a bit faded from hanging on the front door and one of the pieces had fallen off.
 I paint the heart pink...
I then used  my silhouette and created a little word art.

I then cut out my words and put my contact paper on top. With this step it's really important that you rub and rub over the top of your letters to make the process of peeling them off of the backing easier.
I then placed them on my heart where I wanted them (I used a level and ruler to make sure they we're sitting correctly). Then rub and rub some more. Once you have rubbed to your hearts content you can peel the contact paper off.
 PERFECTION!
I also added a little ribbon just for a little flair.
 Have a great day!

Simple DIY Necklaces for our Girls

Valentines day is tomorrow!
I promised my girls I would make something for them and I finally got to it this morning. I made these cute necklaces for them. I want to instill in my kids that not all gifts have to be bought and by making gifts you get so much more joy when you give it as well as when your on the receiving side you feel like that gift was really made just for you.
These necklaces are super simple. You can buy little kits similar to this one on etsy or I'm sure any craft store. I then cut scrapbook paper to size.
I then put a pea sized drop of glue in the center.
Then another drop of glue on top of the paper so this glass piece will stick.
I had some scrapbook glitter letters that I used to monogram each necklace for each of our girls.
I then attached a little charm to each one. Simple but from the heart!
Hope you have a Happy Valentines Day!

Edible Valentines Bracelets

Here's a fun craft you can do with your little ones for
Valentines Day (or anytime at that).
Edible bracelets. We started with a bowl full of liquorice. I cut it into pieces. Make sure it's the kind that has the hole through the center.
We then used some stretchy string, and fished the liquorice onto it.
Ta-Daa! Easy enough for a 3 year old to do. And she like eating it as well!
