Moving Cows

This time of year is so exciting for the girls. We get to help move cows and be with the guys and ride on 4 Wheelers.

Babies

The past few weeks we've been busy with babies :)
There so much fun to watch.

Have a great weekend!

Mandys First Calf Show

Mandy showed her very first calf last week! We're so very proud of the little stinker :DHere's a picture of her before we left the house, getting her calf "Jan" ready to go. It's amazing how much she has grown.

The girls we're so very excited as we we're leaving...

Here's Mandy before she went into the show ring..

Mandy receiving her first ribbon ever...

And our little Mandy walking her calf out of the arena like a pro! Here's a link to a video of Mandy showing her calf.

Mandy's New Hobby

Mandy and her bucket calf Jan!

Mandy has been spending every free minuet she has had with her calf Jan. This calf is so easy going and patient with Mandy. Brushing, feeding, rubbing, loving on her ;)

Few get to see....

We live in such a beautiful place that few get to see. I love being out in the pasture and being able to do a full 360 and see nothing but pasture and what God has put here!

I often think of my friend who lives on the East Coast, she has mentioned that Dunk-in Doughnuts is down the street. And down the street from us we have wide open spaces!

Checking Cows with Daddy

No matter what time of year it is we love getting to go with Daddy and check cows. We get to stand up in the pick up and don't have to wear our seat belts.
We get to look out the windows and watch the cows.
And this time of year we get to see all of the baby calves!

We've got a new addition to the family

That time of year has begone again. Calving! We now have a new little girl - Jan (because she was born in January). Jan gets feed several times a day. It's such a fun time and the girls love the new baby, but I must say this does become more of a chore for me. These are the memories I hope my kids keep with them for years to come.
Stay tuned in for more posts about Jan, I'm sure there will be many!

Let it SNOW, Let it SNOW!

The snow has been falling all day long! On days like these it makes me super grateful to be a human that is able to warm up in a cozy house. But this morning we went out in the snow to help with morning chores. Here's a quick shot of the bulls eating.
Chris breaking ice so the heifers can get a drink.
More ice breaking. As you see I'm such a help, lol. More of an encourager, ha.
"Caking" the cows.
The girls we're so glad to have a treat on this cold morning. As you see it's SNOWING some more. An expected 2 - 4 more inches yet tonight.
