DIY Magnetic Photo Holder

Ive been on a recent mission to keep everything that my kids touch sanitized. As I was spraying my Natural Disinfectant on the fridge today, I had an "ah-ha" moment!

And thats what drove me to make these super cute and simple DIY Magnetic Photo Holders.

Our kids are so blessed to not only have all of their grandparents but also great grandparents. And sometimes I find that grandparents are hard to shop for because they have everything!
Each year I give the kids pictures in cards, this year Ill give them in this fun way so they can be displayed on the fridge.
DIY steps to make these Magnetic Photo Holders
I started with some scraps of thin plywood that was stashed in the garage. I wanted to make sure the wood I was working with wouldn't be too heavy for the magnets.
I then painted my pieces blue, then a coat of white and then I stenciled on top of the white with a country grey color.

When my pain was dry, I sanded.
{I love sanding!!}
 Isn't is pretty!?
The hardware I used was things I had around my home excluding the magnets. I recently purchased those at Hobby Lobby for $7.00s but I used my 40% off coupon on that item.
I hot glued 4 magnets on the back, one on each corner.
I wanted each photo holder to be unique and a little different. This one I glued these little clips to.
This one I wrapped jute around at the top and bottom of it.
And this one I wrapped with jute simply at the bottom.

I think they turned out Really cute! All together it took me about an hour of time for these three projects and cost wise was very minimal.

 Aren't they cute!

These really are simple yet very personal Christmas gifts that would be perfect for anyone on your list.

Perfect Every time Lemon Bundt Cake

 Happy Saturday!
The Holidays are in full swing here. We have family visiting this weekend, early Christmas gatherings, the Christmas program at school this coming week. And with all of these things on our list, we often need to bring some sort of dish with us. This Lemon Bundt Cake is SO yummy, very simple to make and eye appealing.
 Here's what you'll need:
1 package Lemon cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
3/4 Cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 Cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 tsp. Poppy Seeds (optional)

Icing:
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
4 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
*Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 10 inch Bundt Pan.
*In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding, oil, eggs and soda.
*Pour all of the ingredients into prepared pan and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Once cooled flip onto a serving dish and pour the icing over the cake. Enjoy!

This is such a simple but personal gift.
We traced my daughters little hands. Wrote "Hands Down You are the Best!" and taped them to our favorite bottle of lotion. This lotion is "Hands Down" the best for eczema or severe dry skin and has beat studies against Eucerin and is a must in our home. You can learn more about it HERE.
Stop by tomorrow for some more Christmas inspiration. It's a yummy treat that's for sure!

For the Gardner on your list...

8 Days: For the Gardner on your list...

Today's project is for the Gardner on your list. Something to show them that you we're thinking specifically of them. It's not the money in this gift but the time, effort and love for the hobby that you pour into it.
I picked seeds from some of my favorite, hardy flowers in my yard. Hollyhocks, Marigolds and my very hardy mint.

I hand stamped these adorable little envelopes with what would be inside.

And plan to give these gifts to a couple of friends of mine who are Gardner's themselves.
I'm a very sentimental person when it comes to gifts. And if it's something from the heart similar to this that was from a friends yard. That will give me a season of blooms in 2016, ahhhh... that is priceless to me!
